Summary: Hughes 369D Helicopter Interior Refurbishment

This project involved the interior refurbishment of a Hughes 369D helicopter for a client in Alberta, Canada. The interior overhaul included seating, carpets, overcovers, pockets, and control boots, all styled in a sleek black and red color scheme, which is echoed throughout the aircraft.

Gallery:

  • Seating:

    • The helicopter features a 3-place forward bench seat and an aft Generation I bench seat with a split backrest.

    • Seat Covers: Crafted from black leather (ADI-1091) with red leather inserts (ADI-3011), the seats feature red decorative stitching and three vertical stitch lines on the inserts to break up the panels.

    • The MD Helicopters logo is embossed on the upper backrest of the two forward outboard seats and two backrests of the aft seats.

    • Sheepskin Overcovers: Black sheepskin overcovers were added to the pilot and co-pilot seats, complementing the overall color scheme.

  • Carpets:

    • The carpets in the helicopter were made from black city carpet, edged with red mesh binding, enhancing the bold design.

  • Pockets:

    • The cabin's bulkhead divides the space, and the indent on the bulkhead opposite the aft seats features a pocket made from black leather with red stitching. The backing panel of the pocket was wrapped in matching leather.

  • Control Boots:

    • Pilot and co-pilot control boots were made from black synthetic stretchy fabric, offering flexibility for control movements. The boots also feature black leather reinforcement around the controls to withstand high wear.

This interior overhaul combines luxury, comfort, and durability, with careful attention to detail in each element, ensuring both a striking appearance and practical use for the helicopter crew.
