Bell 206B JetRanger Interior Replacement

THE PROJECT
The Bell 206B JetRanger, a versatile 5-seater utility helicopter, was produced by Bell Helicopter for nearly 50 years. In this project, Generation Global carried out a complete interior replacement for a JetRanger, which included new seats, carpets, floor mats, door inserts, and control boots. All parts used are available for purchase on Generation Global’s online shop, and they are easy to install!

THE GALLERY
The crew and passenger seats were upgraded with Gen II design, featuring a diaphragm, foam, and durable black leather covers (ADI 1091). The seat inserts were perforated to improve airflow and provide added comfort. Horizontal stitch lines across the center inserts on both the base and backrests were finished in a crisp white thread, providing a sharp contrast to the dark leather.

The door panels were custom-made to match the theme, featuring black vinyl with white stitching, complementing the sleek interior design.

The control boots were crafted from the same black leather as the seat covers, ensuring consistency across the interior. Each boot was securely fitted using both domes and velcro for a smooth installation process. These boots were designed for the Bell 206 JetRanger without a plastics kit.

For the flooring, our client requested split flooring. We installed Black City carpet in the front cabin for a refined, plush look, while the rear cabin was outfitted with black vinyl flooring featuring a metallic fleck pattern. The raised, grippy surface of the utility vinyl ensures better safety, preventing slips and falls.

ADDITIONAL UPGRADES
The project also included the installation of replacement ground-handling gear, such as blade tie-downs and intake bungs, made from weather- and UV-resistant, PVC-coated polyester fabric. These components were designed in bright red for enhanced visibility.

We also added specialized blankets to the rear cabin, commonly found in Bell 206 helicopters. These blankets are easy to dome on and off and offer sound absorption and protection, especially useful when the helicopter is being used for utility work. The grey custom-designed blankets feature quilted stitching that helps maintain their shape and adds durability.
