THE PROJECT
For this project, our team provided new and refurbished parts for a Cessna 172 aircraft used for flight training. Parts replaced or renewed by our team included seat upholstery, sidewall trims, headlining, floor coverings, and plastic linings. Once we had assembled and refurbished all parts, the interior was shipped back to our client and the interior was installed by their maintenance provider.

This C172βs seating consists of two front seats and a rear bench seat. We manufactured the seat dress covers from lead grey (ADI-1111) leather and the centre inserts were perforated, with the middle split by a single vertical seam. The double stitchwork on each seatβs outer seams was all done with silver thread. And, as the finishing touch, we had our clientβs logo debossed onto each backrest.
We provided sidewall trim panels to this aircraftβs exact specifications. The horizontal insert at the center of each side trim panel was made from perforated grey leather. The armrests were also wrapped in lead grey leather and sported silver stitching to match the stitchwork on the seats.
The primary colour used for the vinyl sidewall pieces was light dove grey, though the bottom of each panel was covered in black Zimmer carpet. The main carpet set for the aircraft was also made from Zimmer with matching black binding. Like the sidewall, the headlining on this C172 was carefully wrapped in light grey vinyl.
