Project Overview: Replacement Seat Covers for CRJ-900 Aircraft (Safran 41652002 & 41653002 Business Class Seats)

Client:
This project involves a regional airline based in Phoenix, Arizona, operating as American Eagle and United Express under code-sharing agreements with American Airlines and United Airlines. The airline is FAA Part 121-certified and operates a fleet of CRJ 700, CRJ 900, and Embraer 175 aircraft, providing regional services across the United States.


Project Scope:

Generation Global was tasked with supplying replacement seat covers for the Safran (Zodiac Aerospace) 41652002 and 41653002 model business class seats installed on CRJ-900 aircraft. The seat covers include four key components:

  • Bottom cover

  • Backrest cover

  • Headrest cover

  • Horse collar/pocket covers

These parts were manufactured in high-quality aviation leather and supplied with FAA certification approval, ensuring compliance with stringent airworthiness standards.


Design Features:

  • Premium Scottish Leather:
    The seat covers were designed using a 1.0mm premium Scottish leather that has a matte finish and a haircell grain. This leather is fire retardant and fully complies with FAA airworthiness requirements, ensuring safety and durability.

  • 6mm Graphite Trim Foam Backing:
    The leather faces are laminated to a 6mm Graphite trim foam backing, providing a smooth, uniform appearance and enhancing the overall comfort and aesthetic of the seat.

  • Custom Fit for Safran 41652002 & 41653002 Seats:
    The seat covers are designed specifically for the Safran 41652002 and 41653002 models, ensuring a perfect fit and maintaining the integrity of the business class experience.
