THE PROJECT
This project involved a complete interior overhaul for a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. The refurbishment included the installation of new seats, sidewall panels, and carpets, all available for purchase on the Generation Global website.

The seats in this Skyhawk featured curved-top designs from the early generations of Cessna aircraft. Each seat was outfitted with replacement cushions and covers, including a skirt for the two front seats. The covers were crafted from charcoal grey leather (ADI-1121), with matching stitching for a clean, cohesive look.
For the sidewall panels, premade ABS plastic parts were used as the base. These panels were wrapped in a two-tone color scheme, with buttermilk vinyl on the top and bottom sections, and a darker charcoal-colored vinyl band in the center, adding depth and contrast to the interior design.
The assist straps above the doors were also wrapped in charcoal leather and hand-stitched for an added touch of craftsmanship.
For the flooring, Genflor ash carpet was chosen, edged with black binding to provide a clean, modern finish.
