GA8 Airvan – Interior Refurbishment
The Project
Generation Global supplied and fitted Crew and Passenger seat dress covers, a glare shield cover, and a flooring set for a GA8 Airvan interior.
All parts were manufactured under the NZCAA STC design approval, ensuring compliance and quality. These parts are also available for purchase on Generation Global’s website.

Seat Dress Covers:
The seats in the GA8 consist of two crew seats and six passenger seats, all fitted with Charcoal Grey (ADI-1121) aviation leather seat dress covers. The design is simple and functional, featuring perforated leather inserts in the centre of the seats for added comfort and breathability. The decorative stitching was matched to the leather colour, ensuring a seamless and refined appearance. -
Glare Shield Cover:
The glare shield was covered in a UV-protected black synthetic leather, offering both durability and a sleek finish. -
Floor Coverings:
The floor coverings were manufactured using nylon cut pile Charcoal (Zimmer) carpet, perfectly complementing the charcoal grey seating.
The carpets feature circular cut-outs for the seat mounts and are securely attached to the cabin floor using velcro, ensuring easy installation and removal when needed.
The Client
The client is a tourism operator based in Kaikoura, a coastal town on New Zealand's South Island. Known for its large population of sperm whales, Kaikoura offers one of the most unique whale watching experiences in the world. The client operates scenic flights from Kaikoura airfield using their two GA-8 aircraft, renowned for their large dome windows that offer passengers an exceptional vantage point for whale watching and other aerial tours.
This refurbishment enhances the interior of the GA8 Airvan, making it a comfortable and stylish environment for the passengers on their scenic flights.
