MD500E Helicopter Interior Kit Project
The Project:
This project involved supplying a complete interior kit for an MD500E helicopter. The kit included the supply of both forward and aft seating. These parts are available on the Generation Global website, with options including fwd seating without the center dickie seat and the alternative Generation I aft seating style.

Forward Seating:
The seating in the forward cabin is the Generation I design, which includes three seats: the pilot, co-pilot, and the dickie seat in between. The seat covers and cushions are provided as a kit and are designed to be fitted to the OEM seat shells. The existing covers and cushions must be stripped from the shells, and the new upholstery can then be installed. -
Aft Seating:
The aft seats are the Generation II design, which consists of stand-alone cushions that velcro onto the airframe. The rear backrest cushions are designed with a shaped filler cushion to fit snugly against the aft bulkhead, ensuring that the backrest cushion is at the correct angle for passenger comfort. -
Seat Covers:
The seat dress covers are made from charcoal grey leather (ADI-1121) and feature silver decorative stitching. The MD logo is embroidered on the seat backrests in matching silver thread. The seat inserts are perforated leather, with three horizontal feature lines stitched into the panel for added texture and style.
This comprehensive kit ensures both style and functionality for the MD500E, making it an ideal upgrade for the helicopter's interior.
