Piper PA-28-181 Archer II β Complete Interior Makeover
The Project
Generation Global had the pleasure of refurbishing the interior of a Piper PA-28-181 Archer II, a stunning aircraft owned by a flying club. The interior was completely overhauled at our Nelson facility, and the refurbishment included a range of custom upgrades. Many of the parts used in the project are available for purchase through the Generation Global website, providing future clients with the same high-quality options.

Seats and Upholstery
-
Seat Upholstery: The seats were covered in lead grey leather, with perforated inserts for added texture and breathability. Each seatβs upper backrest was embossed with the Piper logo, enhancing the classic and professional look of the cabin.
-
Decorative Stitching: Dark red decorative stitching was added to the seats, providing a bold contrast and tying in with the red accents on the aircraftβs exterior.
Sidewalls and Trim
-
Sidewall Upholstery: The upper sidewalls were wrapped in lead grey vinyl, complementing the seats, while the lower sidewalls were finished in a slightly lighter ash grey, which coordinated perfectly with the carpet.
-
Red Accents: Two lines of red double stitching run horizontally across the sidewalls and door panels, providing a subtle yet stylish pop of color throughout the cabin.
-
Armrests and Storage: The armrests were reupholstered in the same lead grey leather with matching red stitching. A storage pocket was also added to the forward sidewall, offering a convenient space for pilot essentials.
Carpets and Flooring
-
The carpets were a slightly lighter ash grey, creating a harmonious contrast with the darker tones of the seats and sidewalls. This color combination enhances the clean, professional look of the aircraftβs interior.
Headlining and Plastics
-
The headlining was installed with ribs running the length of the aircraft, ensuring a clean and uniform finish. All plastics were custom color-matched to the rest of the interior, including a new plastic trim kit, contributing to a cohesive and polished design.
