OUR FACTORY
Generation Global New Zealand facility is primarily used for product design, bespoke manufacture, testing, and product certification. The product manufacturing is carried out at our Malaysian facility which has endless production capacity & the strictest quality controls to ensure that the products meet the customer’s specifications and expectations every time.
CUTTING
Generation Global operates a computerised laser cutter in the New Zealand facility for the production of helicopter and airplane flooring solutions. Ensuring a precision fit is essential and this equipment provides the high level of consistency that is required. The laser beam also sears the edges of the materials helping to provide an edge that does not fray. This machine is capable of cutting a wide variety of materials as well as flooring, carpets leather, and plastics.
TESTING
All materials are tested in accordance with the relevant flammability requirements including CFR 23.853, CFR 25.853, CFR 27.853, and CFR 29.853. To support this, an internal EASA approved flame test laboratory is located in New Zealand to support production and R & D. Generation Global develop foam seat cushion products to meet the strict flammability requirements of helicopter and Airplane including using a fire blocking layer where required to ensure these requirements are met.
PRODUCT DESIGN
Generation Global has many years of experience in designing covers and ensuring that every seat cover fits well every time. Designing a cover that can be fitted by someone else on the other side of the world is no easy task and requires a thorough design process to be followed. Many things must be considered when designs are created including aesthetics, ease of fitting, comfort, weight, and cost to manufacture.
SELECTING MATERIALS
Selecting materials is a critical part of designing a project and has a great effect on the cost of the product, warranties, weight, look, feel, lead times, and certification. Generation Global has carefully selected and set up a global supply base over time that meets strict criteria for quality, support, and lead times.
