Generation Global recently had the privilege of refurbishing the interior of a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) ex-helicopter, a 1984 AS350 model, with brand new crew and rear passenger seat upholstery. The Gen III Seat Design: Comfort Meets Durability
For this particular project, we installed Gen III seat design upholstery—one of the most popular options for the AS350. The Gen III rear passenger seats are designed with high backrests and doughnut-style headrests, offering exceptional comfort for the occupants. The crew seats are low-back and fit perfectly into the factory seat shells.
Both seat types were upholstered in black aviation leather (ADI-1091), a durable and easy-to-clean material that’s ideal for the demanding environment of helicopter interiors. The center insert panels were perforated, enhancing breathability and comfort during flights. The seat covers were finished with elegant silver top stitching, which highlights the clean lines of the seat design and adds a sleek, modern touch to the overall interior.
