Eurocopter AS350 Helicopter Seating Customization Project
The Project:
For this project, our team was tasked with providing custom seating for an AS350 helicopter owned by an Australian client. The client, who operates a maintenance facility based out of Bankstown Airport (Sydney), had specific customization requests that we fully incorporated into the final seating design. The result was a functional and stylish seating solution that met the unique needs of the aircraft.

Crew Seating:
The helicopter originally had bucket-style crew seats. We supplied Generation I-style seat covers and cushions, adhering to the classic design while ensuring that comfort and durability were not compromised. The covers were crafted with a two-toned grey leather styling, using ancient grey leather (ADI-1151) as the main color for the backing and titanium grey leather (ADI-1231) for the insert sections. The double stitching was done in a matching color to the Ancient Grey leather, creating a seamless and refined appearance. -
Rear Pax Seats:
The rear highback passenger seats were upgraded to Generation III-style seats. These were custom-modified with shortened seat bottoms to fit a modified fold-up seat base, providing a space-efficient and functional solution for the rear cabin. -
Customization & Attention to Detail:
Each seat was tailored to the client's specifications, ensuring that the seating layout and design not only met ergonomic standards but also aligned with the visual aesthetics desired by the client.
This project successfully combined style, comfort, and customization to create a seating solution that fit the specific needs of the AS350 helicopter while offering durability and aesthetic appeal.
