Bell 206 Helicopter Seating Upgrade – Dark Red Leather and Generation II Design by Generation Global
Project Overview
For this project, the Generation Global team worked on a Bell 206 helicopter for a client in New Zealand. The project involved replacing both crew and rear passenger seats, with a focus on a dark red color scheme to match the helicopter's livery. Our team implemented a Generation II seat design to provide enhanced comfort, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
Custom Dark Red Leather Seats with Beige Stitching
The seats in this Bell 206 were upholstered in Dark Red leather (ADI-3021), carefully selected to match the aircraft’s stunning red livery. To add a touch of sophistication, we used beige stitching throughout the seats, providing a contrast that enhances the leather's rich tone. This color combination not only complemented the helicopter’s exterior but also created a stylish and professional interior.
Perforated Inserts and Embossed Bell Logo
For added comfort, the seat inserts, including the adjustable lumbar support, were made from perforated leather, allowing for improved breathability during flights. This design helps keep the seat cooler and more comfortable for extended periods.
The upper seat backs were embossed with the iconic Bell logo, adding a personalized, branded touch to each seat, making them truly unique and reflective of the Bell 206 identity.
Generation II Design for Maximum Comfort and Durability
The Generation II seat design was chosen for this project to provide the highest level of comfort and durability. This design is known for its superior ergonomics, allowing for better support during flights. The seats were sent directly to Generation Global’s Nelson facility for precise fitting and installation, ensuring that the new seating perfectly matched the aircraft's design and structural requirements.
