Project Spotlight: Bell 206 Interior Refurbishment – South Island, New Zealand
The Bell 206, a multipurpose utility helicopter manufactured by Bell Helicopter in Quebec, Canada, has been one of the most popular helicopters in the world. With over 7,000 units produced between 1962 and 2017, the Bell 206 is a mainstay in both commercial and private aviation. For this project, Generation Global provided comprehensive seating and flooring solutions for a Bell 206 JetRanger model. All the parts used in this refurbishment project are available for purchase on Generation Global’s website, with EASA certification for global delivery.
Custom Upholstery Design & Materials
The Generation I seats on this Bell 206 feature a frameless, ergonomic design. For this client, we provided:

Charcoal Grey leather (ADI-1121) covers, giving the helicopter interior a sophisticated and clean look

Matching double stitching in a precise pattern that complements the monochromatic design

Perforated leather inserts in the seat center, promoting breathability and comfort for passengers
As a final touch, each seat back was embroidered with the Bell logo in white, adding a subtle yet distinctive branding element.
Flooring:
For the Bell 206 JetRanger, we supplied vinyl coin matting flooring, known for its sharp aesthetic and excellent traction properties. The flooring in this helicopter model is quite complex, with many individual pieces that cover:
