Project Highlight: Bell 206L Long Ranger Interior Refurbishment

At Generation Global, we had the opportunity to work on a Bell 206L Long Ranger for a client based in Canada. This interior refurbishment included the full upgrade of seating, door panel inserts, floor coverings, and composite floor protector trays. All the parts were purchased through Generation Global’s online shop, ensuring our client received high-quality, certified components.

Seating Upholstery: A Perfect Colour Contrast

One of the key design features of this project was the contrast between dark Charcoal Grey and light Titanium Grey leathers. The pairing of these two colours helped highlight important details in the interior, while also giving the Bell 206 a modern, sleek look.

For the seating, we used Charcoal Grey leather (ADI-1121) for the main seat covers, complemented by Titanium Grey leather (ADI-1231) inserts. The flat panels of the inserts were carefully stitched with horizontal seams, and the outside borders were adorned with decorative double stitching in Titanium Grey. The result is a sharp, stylish seat design that draws attention to the Bell logo embossed on the seatbacks.

Custom logos or emblems can also be incorporated into the seat upholstery, allowing clients to showcase their company branding or aircraft-specific markings, like model emblems or registration numbers.

Door Panel Inserts: Seamless Design

The door panel inserts in this Bell 206 were made with the same Charcoal Grey leather (ADI-1121) used for the seats. We included the same Titanium Grey decorative stitching, which helped tie the interior together visually. The door inserts also feature pockets for extra functionality, providing additional storage space while maintaining a neat and streamlined appearance.

Floor Coverings: Custom Fit and Functionality

For the floor coverings, we selected Charcoal Zimmer carpet (Genflor), which offers both durability and an attractive finish. The cut pile carpet was edged with black mesh binding, adding a subtle touch of sophistication. To protect the flooring in the main cabin area, we also installed black composite floor protectors, which can be easily removed and installed depending on the helicopter's role.

These floor protectors were a custom request from our client, ensuring that the aircraft was equipped with functional, durable flooring that suited the specific needs of their operation.

Client Details: A Canadian-Based Helicopter Operator

Our client, a helicopter operator based in Canada, came to us seeking an interior refurbishment that would enhance both the aesthetic and functionality of their Bell 206L Long Ranger. By combining contrasting colours and high-quality materials, we were able to help them achieve their vision of a modern and practical helicopter interior.
