Bell 407 Helicopter – Seat Slings, Cushions, and Covers Replacement
THE PROJECT
This project involved Generation Global supplying replacement seat slings, cushions, and covers for seating in 3 x Bell 407 helicopters. These parts were supplied with EASA design certification and an EASA Form 1 Release Certificate. The aircraft are operated under FAA regulations, and based on the FAA-EASA Bilateral Agreement, the FAA accepts a EASA DOA design change classified as a ‘minor change’ in accordance with EASA Part 21A.91 as acceptable data, without any further investigation. The FAA also recognizes the EASA Form 1 Authorised Release Certificate as valid under the same agreement. You can find the Bell 407 interior parts on Generation Global’s online shop.
THE GALLERY
The pax seating followed the Generation I seating style and was covered in Navy Blue (2021) aviation leather. The seat backrest is framed with an embossed Bell logo for a professional finish. The center insert panels in the seat backrest and bottom were perforated using the SP1 perforation pattern, providing both a functional feature and improved breathability in a temperate environment.
THE CLIENT
The client is a helicopter maintenance provider based in Puerto Rico, serving the surrounding Caribbean region. The company offers maintenance and repair services to helicopter operators and also sells helicopter parts and related components. This client has made multiple purchases through Generation Global’s online shop and has successfully fitted these kits to the machines they maintain.
