Cessna 185 – Custom Sheepskin Seat Refurbishment
The Project
For this bespoke project, Generation Global’s team was tasked with refurbishing a set of custom sheepskin seat covers for a client’s Cessna 185. The client delivered the seats directly to our facility, allowing us to carry out a full in-house restoration - from structural refurbishment to final upholstery.

Custom Seat Upholstery

The seat covers were tailored to fit standard 1975–1986 Cessna crew seats, and reimagined with authentic mocha-colored sheepskin on the front panels.

The remaining surfaces were upholstered in Truffle Brown leather, carefully selected to complement the warm tones of the sheepskin.
Structural Refurbishment

Each seat frame was stripped back and fully restored, including the replacement of diaphragms and installation of new custom foam cushions to ensure optimal comfort and support.
Customization & Materials
At Generation Global, we welcome custom and one-off upholstery requests, whether that involves the addition of sheepskin, specialty leather color choices, or even alternative materials like vinyl. While genuine leather is our standard for most seat builds, sheepskin is a favored option for crew seating, especially in commercial and long-haul settings, thanks to its exceptional comfort and temperature-regulating properties.
Result
The final result is a set of stylish and ultra-comfortable seats, blending the rugged elegance of mocha sheepskin with the rich texture of Truffle Brown leather - a perfect upgrade for this classic Cessna 185.
