Generation Global was commissioned by a private aircraft owner in Washington State, USA to supply an interior kit for their Cessna 172 Skyhawk. As one of the most-produced aircraft models ever, the Cessna 172 continues to be a popular choice, and we are proud to offer this tailored kit to enhance its comfort and aesthetics. The project included new seat covers, sidewall linings, and floor coverings, all chosen to complement the aircraft’s design.
Custom Seat Upholstery and Design
Classic Early Cessna 172 Seats
The interior kit featured early C172 seat upholstery, which included two crew seats and a rear bench seat with separate seatbacks. The rear bench seat’s base upholstery was carefully bolstered with a seam that split the seats at their highest point, creating a clean, distinct look.
Bold Red Leather with White Perforated Inserts
The seats were upholstered with bold red leather, perfectly matched to the aircraft’s exterior stripe, creating a cohesive and striking visual appearance. The seat inserts featured white perforated leather, offering a sophisticated contrast that adds texture and depth to the overall design.
Black Piping for a Refined Touch
For the finishing touch, the seats were edged with black piping (ADI-1091) along the outer seams. This bold line accentuates the shape of the seats, giving them a crisp and polished look. The headrests were also finished with black piping, providing a harmonious design element throughout the seating.
Sidewall Linings and Floor Coverings
In addition to the seats, the project also included sidewall linings and floor coverings, all carefully chosen to complement the aircraft’s interior aesthetics and enhance the overall cabin experience.
