Cessna 177 Cardinal – Complete Interior Refurbishment
The Project
This project involved a complete interior rework of a Cessna 177 Cardinal aircraft, leaving only the existing plastics untouched. The full refurbishment included new seat covers and cushions, new floor coverings, wall linings, handles, and controls. The refurbishment was completed at Generation Global’s Nelson facility, where the aircraft was stripped, the interior components were refurbished, and then re-installed. The interior parts are available as a complete kit on Generation Global’s online shop.

The seats were reupholstered in Charcoal Grey aviation leather (ADI-1121), featuring two single bucket seats and a rear bench seat.

The seat covers incorporated perforated inserts and decorative stitching, all designed to match the sidewall colors.

Embossed Cessna logo on the upper backrest of the front single seats adds a custom touch of branding.

The sidewall trims were covered in a high-quality synthetic leather (Athena), with the center section matching the seat design, including perforation.

The lower sidewall sections were fitted with a cut-pile nylon charcoal carpet (Zimmer), which also matched the main floor carpet. These sections featured a concealed pocket for added functionality.

Armrests and other details were wrapped in Charcoal Grey leather to tie the interior design together.
