The Project
This project involved the complete supply of new upholstery for the Cessna 182A Skylane. The refurbishment included the pilot and co-pilot seats, auxiliary second-row dickie seats, headlining, and floor coverings. All these parts are available for purchase on the Generation Global website.

Seat Upholstery:
The seat coverings were crafted from high-quality aviation leather. The main colour is Lead Grey (ADI-1111), complemented by Ancient Grey (ADI-1151) perforated (SP-1) insert panels. These inserts were enhanced with quilted ‘Double Diamond’ (SA005) stitching in matching thread, providing a sleek and stylish design. Piping on the outer seams further refines the seat finish, and the Cessna logo is embossed on the leather for a branded, luxurious touch. -
Floor Coverings:
The floor coverings were made from heavy-duty cut-pile carpet in the colour Zimmer (WN-120), bound with a matching mesh binding. To ensure durability, heel mats were added to protect the high-wear areas where the pilot and co-pilot’s feet rest, ensuring long-lasting functionality. -
Headlining:
The suspended headlining was made from a foam-backed flat-knit fabric, custom-fitted to the aircraft’s fuselage with shaped sections. The headlining includes ten pockets for the bows used during installation. For maintenance access, the headlining has two hidden zips, offering convenience without compromising the sleek appearance.
