Saddle Brown Sophistication – Reims Cessna F172N Interior Upgrade
This interior refurbishment project was completed for a German-based client who owns a Reims Cessna F172N Skyhawk II. The project included all-new seat upholstery, sidewall panels, floor carpeting, and a replacement glareshield cover. All parts were sourced through the Generation Global online shop, offering easy access to certified interior components.
A Cohesive Look, Inside and Out
The new interior design was carefully selected to complement the aircraft’s exterior paint scheme, resulting in a sleek and cohesive aesthetic. The standout material throughout the cabin is saddle brown aviation leather (ADI-4111)—a rich, timeless colour that adds warmth and sophistication to the aircraft interior.
Seating Refined for Comfort & Style
The Cessna seat covers were crafted in saddle brown (ADI-4111) leather and finished with rye beige (4221) double-stitching along the outer seams. Each seat features SP-1 perforated inserts in the centre back and bottom panels, offering improved breathability and a premium look.
As a final touch, the iconic Cessna logo is embossed on the seat backs, adding a subtle but impressive detail. The client personally installed the seats, including fitting new diaphragms, foam cushions, and finally, installing the leather covers—guided by Generation Global’s installation resources.
Sidewalls, Carpets, and Functional Elegance
The sidewall panels were designed to match the saddle brown seating and include horizontal leather inserts featuring the same SP-1 perforation for visual continuity.
The flooring features Genflor Kirsch (WN-120) aviation carpet, which also extends up the lower portion of the sidewalls. For comfort and noise reduction, the carpets are backed with underlay and come pre-installed with Velcro, making it simple for the client to attach them securely to the airframe using the provided strips.
Glareshield – Durable, Clean, and UV-Resistant
The final element of this interior upgrade was a new glare shield eyebrow cover—crafted from UV-resistant black vinyl. This durable material is wrapped around the shaped glareshield component, ensuring protection from sun damage while providing a clean and professional finish to the cockpit.
