Cirrus SR22 – Front Seat Upholstery Replacement

The Project

For this project, Generation Global was tasked with providing two new front seats for a Cirrus SR22. This SR22, the most popular general aviation aircraft on the market, was owned by a private pilot from New York who flies recreationally. Our team supplied custom upholstery designed to enhance the comfort and appearance of the seats while maintaining the aircraft's sleek, modern aesthetic.

Seat Covers

  • Material: The seat covers were crafted from a sophisticated Titanium Grey leather (ADI-1231), offering a subtle, yet luxurious tone that complements the SR22's modern cabin.

  • Stitching: All stitching was done with matching thread, ensuring a seamless, clean finish across the seats.

Seat Detailing

  • Scalloped Stitching: The back and base inserts were meticulously stitched with scalloped stitch lines, providing texture and structure while adding a refined detail to the seat design.

  • Double Stitching: The outer seams of both the base and back were double stitched, creating a bold, accentuated edge that highlights the seats' contours.

Seatbelt Integration

  • Seatbelt Design: In the Cirrus SR22, the seatbelts are integrated into the seat design, feeding out from the seat's headrest. This ensures easy access and a neat, clean look, with seatbelts feeding over the shoulder of the occupant.

Result

The Cirrus SR22 now boasts a pair of custom front seats upholstered in Titanium Grey leather, with expert stitching and enhanced detailing to match the high standards of modern aviation. The seats not only enhance comfort for the pilot but also complement the aircraft’s aesthetic, giving it a more sophisticated and tailored look.
