Generation Global Designs and Manufactures Premium Seat Covers for Q400 Cockpit
In this project, Generation Global designed, certified, and manufactured replacement crew seat dress covers for the cockpit of the Q400 aircraft. The crew seats consist of a four-part seat, including a seat pan, lumber, upper backrest, and headrest cover. These seat covers are certified with a TCCA STC (Supplemental Type Certificate). The airline originally had OEM fabric seat covers fitted to their fleet but sought to provide their pilots with sheepskin covers for enhanced comfort. Generation Global demonstrated to the airline that the sheepskin covers not only increased pilot satisfaction but also saved the airline money in the long run.
The seat covers' faces are crafted from New Zealand sheepskin, known for its luxurious feel and durability. The side borders are made from a custom wool/nylon blend fabric, ensuring strength and comfort. The headrests are constructed from matching grey aviation leather, maintaining a cohesive and high-end look across the seating.
