Interior Upgrades for Airbus H125 Helicopter by Generation Global
Project Overview
Generation Global had the opportunity to develop and supply new seat cushions and dress covers for the Airbus H125 helicopter. This project allowed us to expand our product range to include a new H125 seat design, which is now a certified design. The seat cushions and covers come with a Form 1 Authorised Release Certificate, ensuring their compliance with aviation standards. These parts are now available through Generation Global’s online shop.
High-Quality Foam Cushions and Durable Leather Covers
The foam cushions used in this project are manufactured from Genlite foam, a high-quality polyurethane foam developed specifically for aviation by Generation Global. The seat backrest cushions feature a complex design with multiple profiles. These cushions are computer cut into individual components and then assembled with specialist adhesives to ensure maximum comfort and support.
The seat dress covers were crafted from lead grey leather (ADI-1111), with silver stitching for a refined look. The center inserts are perforated (SP-1) to improve breathability, creating a subtle texture difference. The horizontal stitch lines further enhance the design and visually break up the panels. The design also includes a built-in headrest with a cut-out to allow the seatbelts to feed through from behind, providing added functionality.
Client Overview
Our client is a helicopter tour company based in Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. They offer a range of services, including scenic helicopter flights, executive transfers, and commercial services like slung load work and general lifting. The client also operates an R44 helicopter for scenic tours, offering a variety of unique services to both tourists and business clients.
