Seating Configuration & Upholstery
The seating in the Cessna 206 Stationair consists of three rows: two crew seats, a middle row of seats, and rear seats accessed through double doors. The seats were upholstered in Samt Beige leather, with matching double stitching to ensure a seamless and uniform appearance. The seats follow the original Stationair style from the 1975-1986 design, with centre inserts featuring horizontal seams and perforated (SP1) sections for added comfort. The Cessna logo is embossed into the upper portion of the seat backrests, providing a distinctive touch. -
Sidewalls & Armrests
The sidewalls were covered in Samt Beige (ADI-4231) leather, with a seamless integration of the leather and carpet. The leather section was divided into three panels, with two horizontal seams running the length of the aircraft. The centre panel was perforated for added texture and style. Custom armrests were created from selected timber, finished with a clear lacquer, and topped with matching leather arm-pads, adding a luxurious finish to the interior. -
Plastic Panels & Wrapping
The plastic panels were meticulously wrapped in Ivory-colored synthetic leather. This process required exceptional preparation, especially for the window panels, as any imperfections would be clearly visible due to the high level of natural light in the cabin. -
Floor Coverings
The floor coverings were made from lightweight nylon airline carpet in Slate (888), which features a fine ribbed texture. The edges were finished with matching mesh binding, ensuring durability and a polished look. -
Other Refurbishments
Additional areas refurbished included the door draft excluder strips, which were finished in matching leather, along with new pull handles and headlining. The instrument panel was resurfaced, and new decals were applied for a fresh, modernized appearance. Finally, the aircraft was fitted with a full external fly-away kit, including air intake bungs and pitot covers, completing the full refurbishment.
