Project Overview: Replacement Seat Covers for Jetstream 4100 Aircraft

Client:
The Jetstream 4100 aircraft was refurbished in New Zealand before being ferried to its operator in Angola. The Jetstream 4100 is a turboprop-powered regional airliner designed by British Aerospace. The aircraft is a stretched version of the Jetstream 31 and competes with smaller 30-seat aircraft like the Embraer Brasilia and Saab 340. It features a 29-seat capacity in a 2+1 seat configuration with an offset aisle.

Project Scope:

This project involved Generation Global designing and supplying replacement seat covers for the Jetstream 4100 aircraft. Generation Global has extensive experience in designing and manufacturing interior components for the Jetstream series and holds multiple certification approvals for various parts, including crew and cabin seat covers, carpets, curtains, dado linings, and more.

Design Features:

  • Two-Tone Aviation Leather:
The new seat covers were designed using a two-tone combination of mid-grey and light grey aviation leather. This choice of leather provides a modern and professional look while ensuring durability and comfort for passengers.

  • Perforated Inserts:
The backrest covers feature perforated inserts to add both an aesthetic element and enhance breathability, improving passenger comfort.

  • Electric Blue Embroidered Feature Line:
To tie in with the operator’s branding, a blue embroidered line was added along the center of the backrest. This feature line is strategically placed to draw attention to the operator's branding colours, providing a distinct and cohesive appearance to the aircraft’s interior.

Generation Global’s Expertise:

With years of experience in the design and manufacture of Jetstream 41 interiors, Generation Global is able to provide high-quality seat covers that meet the exacting standards of the aviation industry. The company’s comprehensive service includes not only seat covers but also a wide range of interior parts, ensuring that the refurbishment meets both aesthetic and safety requirements.

Client Background:

The Jetstream 4100 aircraft, after being refurbished in New Zealand, was delivered to its operator in Angola. This regional airliner is designed for short-haul routes and is popular in markets that require smaller, efficient aircraft for regional travel. With a 29-seat capacity, the Jetstream 4100 offers flexibility and comfort for both operators and passengers. The aircraft is intended to compete with other regional aircraft in the same class, such as the Embraer Brasilia and Saab 340.
