PA-28-180 Cherokee – Full Interior Refurbishment

The Project

This project saw Generation Global undertake a complete interior refurbishment for a PA-28-180 Cherokee aircraft. The aircraft was flown directly to our Nelson facility where our team handled both the removal and reinstallation of interior components.

The scope of work included:

  • Seat upholstery

  • Sidewall linings

  • Headlining

  • Floor coverings

  • Glare shield

  • Plastic paneling & air vents

  • Alloy foot mats

  • Draft excluders

  • Custom decals

Gallery – A Bold, Modern Take on a Classic Cabin

The interior of this Cherokee was given a cohesive and contemporary look, with standout detailing and a refined colour palette that balances functionality with flair.

  • Seating
    Each seat was reupholstered in Charcoal (ADI-1121) aviation leather, featuring:

    • Perforated leather center inserts for breathability

    • Bold red highlight stitching for a sharp contrast

    • Embroidered Piper logos for a touch of authenticity

    • Refurbished frames with fresh paint, new diaphragms, and high-comfort foam cushions

  • Sidewall Linings
    A multi-material approach added both texture and durability:

    • Lower sections in Zimmer (WN-120) cut pile carpet for kick protection

    • Upper panels in Charcoal leather (ADI-1121) with perforated inserts and red stitching to mirror the seat design

    • New plastic vent housings installed and painted to match

  • Flooring
    Full coverage in Zimmer carpet, precision cut for perfect fit

    • Alloy foot mats installed in high-wear areas for long-term protection

  • Headlining & Trim

    • Suspended headlining manufactured from light grey brushed fabric (HL-100) for a soft, clean look

    • All plastic paneling was colour-matched and refinished in Titanium Grey

    • The glare shield and dash face were finished in matte black vinyl, bringing visual consistency across the cockpit
