Pilatus PC-12 – Carpet Replacement

The Project

The Pilatus PC-12 is a Swiss-engineered, turbine-powered aircraft known for its versatility, durability, and impressive performance. Used widely in both commuter and executive configurations, this aircraft serves a variety of missions. For this project, the owner of a US-based Pilatus PC-12 reached out to Generation Global to replace their worn carpet. Using our website, the client ordered the new carpet, and we took care of the rest—shipping fees were waived, and the parts were provided with EASA certification.

Our team worked with precision to ensure the carpet fit perfectly, even accounting for small variations common in aircraft manufacturing. Here's the breakdown:

  • Customization & Fit:

    • The original carpet layout required small alterations to the digital cutting file to ensure a perfect fit for the specific aircraft.

    • Genflor Zimmer carpet in dark grey (WN-120) was chosen for its durability and aesthetic appeal. The carpet was bound with mesh binding to enhance longevity and resist fraying.

  • Efficient Installation:

    • The carpet was designed with Velcro on the underside, allowing for quick and easy installation and replacement when needed.

    • An additional underlay was added for extra comfort and durability, ensuring the carpet would perform in demanding conditions.

The Client & Aircraft

Our client is an international missionary organization with a long history of delivering essential aid and medical services to remote regions around the world. For more than 75 years, aircraft like the Pilatus PC-12 have been integral to reaching those in need in hard-to-access areas.

While a new carpet may seem like a small update, it significantly enhances the cleanliness and overall presentation of the aircraft interior. We were thrilled to assist with this project and look forward to supporting future upgrades for the client’s fleet and other aviation needs.
