Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee – Refined Cabin Refurbishment

The Project

Generation Global undertook a complete cabin refurbishment of this Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee, delivering a refreshed and cohesive interior that balances subtle modern tones with bespoke detailing. The scope covered everything from floor coverings and seat structure rebuilds to ceiling linings and the restoration or replacement of plastic components. 

Interior Design & Material Highlights

Colour Theme & Upholstery

  • The interior was designed around a cool, contemporary Ancient Grey (ADI-1151) palette.

  • Subtle blue accents were used strategically—most notably on the seat backs and stitching details—to elevate the overall look.

  • Seat dress covers were crafted from Ancient Grey leather, with SP1 perforation used on the insert panels for texture and breathability.

  • Each seat features a 50mm blue leather accent panel on the upper back, framed with blue piping along the top and bottom edges.

  • To complete the seating, the Piper logo was elegantly embossed on the upper seat backs, adding a signature touch of authenticity.

Seat Rebuild

  • Each seat was fully stripped down to its frame, which was then repainted.

  • New tensioned diaphragms and high-quality foam cushioning were fitted to restore original comfort and support.

Flooring & Headlining

  • The floor coverings were finished in Zimmer carpet, a darker tone that contrasts beautifully with the lighter seat and sidewall upholstery for visual balance.

  • Ceiling panels were lined with Titanium velour fabric, enhancing the texture and acoustic comfort of the cabin.

Sidewalls & Plastics

  • Sidewall panels were upholstered to match the seats, extending the Ancient Grey theme throughout the lower cabin.

  • All surrounding plastic trims were either repaired or replaced, then wrapped in a grey vinyl material to maintain harmony with the rest of the cabin design.

Result

This PA-28 Cherokee now boasts a clean, contemporary aesthetic marked by expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. The carefully selected materials and accents provide an upgraded sense of luxury while staying true to the aircraft’s character. The refined contrast between grey tones and blue details results in a timeless, stylish finish—ready to impress from cockpit to cabin.
