The Project
This project involved a full interior refurbishment of the Piper PA-28-235 Cherokee. The scope of work included the refurbishment of the front seating, rear bench seating, floor coverings, sidewall trims, headlining, and various other cabin trims. Every detail was meticulously attended to, ensuring a high-quality finish that enhances both the comfort and aesthetics of the aircraft. Seat Coverings:
The seat upholstery was crafted from Lead Grey (ADI-1111) aviation leather, with a contrasting white stitching outlining the seat edges for a refined finish. The backrest centre inserts were perforated using the SP1 design, adding both comfort and a sophisticated touch. The Piper logo was embossed in the upper section of the backrests, further elevating the custom craftsmanship. -
Sidewall Trims:
The sidewall trims were finished in a synthetic leather that perfectly matched the seat upholstery. A horizontal double stitching line runs across the panels, providing a structured and seamless look. -
Floor Coverings:
The floor coverings were manufactured in a carpet that was precisely matched to the seating and sidewall trims. The carpet extends up the sidewalls and to the bottom of the rear bench seat. To protect the footwells, an alloy mat was installed in high-traffic areas. The rear luggage bay also received a carpeted flooring, complemented with adjustable 25mm webbing straps for securing luggage. -
Headlining:
The headlining was fabricated from a perforated vinyl in a lighter grey hue, designed to blend seamlessly with the colour of the aircraft plastics. -
Plastics & Other Trims:
The plastics were repaired and reconditioned, with the moulded concave trims that house the armrests also receiving attention. The armrests were wrapped in Lead Grey leather, while the draught excluders were carefully matched to the plastics. Additionally, the glare shield was covered with a sleek matt-black vinyl to complete the cabin's premium appearance.
This full interior overhaul transforms the Piper PA-28-235 Cherokee into a more stylish and comfortable aircraft, enhancing the overall flying experience for both pilots and passengers.
