THE PROJECT
This Piper PA-38 (Tomahawk) interior project included the refurbishment of the seats, armrests, carpets, glareshield and control yokes. The PA-38 is a simple two-seater trainer aircraft with minimalistic interior decor. Generation Global has an on-line kit for the PA-38 series interior.

The seats were manufactured using aviation leather colour Lead Grey (ADI-1111) with perforated centre inserts (Pattern SP1) and with matching stitching colour. The armrests were also matched to the seats for both leather and stitching colours. The control yokes hand grips were made from a specialist leather (colour black) which is hand stitched in place using a curved needle to ensure the perfect grip. Click here to see more pictures.
The dash glareshield is covered in UV resistant synthetic leather, colour Samt Beige (ADI-4232). The instrument panel was resurfaced with the upper half matched to the glareshield colour and the lower half in Black. The carpets were manufactured in a plush nylon cut pile carpet colour Zimmer and the edges were bound with black mesh binding.
