The Project
This project involved the refurbishment of the interior of a Piper PA-38 Tomahawk, a two-seater trainer aircraft known for its simple and minimalist interior design. Seats: Upholstered in Lead Grey aviation leather (ADI-1111) with perforated center inserts (Pattern SP1) and matching stitching colour. This design enhances both comfort and visual appeal while maintaining the aircraft’s sleek aesthetic.

Armrests: The armrests were custom-matched to the seats in both leather and stitching colours, ensuring a cohesive look throughout the interior.

Control Yokes: The hand grips of the control yokes were crafted from specialist black leather, hand-stitched with a curved needle to provide the perfect grip, ensuring precision and comfort for the pilot.

Glareshield: Covered in UV-resistant synthetic leather (Samt Beige, ADI-4232), the glareshield not only provides durability but also complements the overall neutral colour scheme of the interior. The instrument panel was resurfaced, with the upper half matched to the glareshield colour, and the lower half finished in black.

Carpets: The carpets were crafted from a plush nylon cut-pile carpet in Zimmer colour, with the edges bound in black mesh binding for added durability and a polished finish.
