The Project
This project involved Generation Global supplying a complete interior refurbishment kit for a Robinson R22 helicopter. All components were selected and purchased via Generation Global’s online shop, with free global shipping included. The order was customized using the online seat configurator, allowing the client to choose from a wide range of aviation leather colours, stitching styles, piping, and quilting options.

Gallery – Design & Materials
The seat covers were upholstered in elegant ‘Pearl’ aviation leather (ADI-4071), complemented by ‘Cream Beige’ (JLS-347) leather inserts in a perforated SP-1 pattern for breathability and visual contrast. Subtle double stitching, colour-matched to the leather, adds a refined finish. The R22 logo is embossed into the upper seat backs, giving the seats a premium, OEM-style touch.
The floor coverings were crafted from cut pile nylon carpet in ‘Shoreline’ (WN-120). Each piece was CNC-cut and edge-bound for a seamless fit across the floor and lower sidewalls. Though this aircraft did not require floor heater cut-outs, this option is available when ordering.
The headlining and bulkhead assemblies were constructed from aviation-grade foam, laser-cut to fit and wrapped in soft ‘Ivory’ brushed fabric (HL-103). This material provides both sound insulation and head impact protection, enhancing comfort and safety during flight.

The client is a Robinson Helicopter-authorised service centre based in Toowoomba, Australia. In addition to servicing Robinson aircraft, the company provides maintenance, overhauls, and comprehensive inspections for both rotary and fixed-wing aircraft. Their experienced team supports a diverse fleet, offering dependable aviation services to private and commercial operators.
