THE PROJECT
This project included supply and installation of the headlining, bulkhead assembly, and floorcoverings of an R22 while undergoing maintenance. These parts were purchased by the maintenance organization on the Generation Global website who then later contacted us for a member of the team to install.
GALLERY
The R22 headlining and bulkhead assembly covers all surfaces above the seats on the roof and aft fuselage. The panels were covered in the Geneva Grey (HL-108) foam-backed material. The headlining is direct-stuck to the inside of the helicopter's outer skin and is padded with special noise-absorbing foam to provide a noise barrier for the occupants.
The floorcoverings in this helicopter were the Genflor Graphite (MW-200) vinyl flooring. The vinyl flooring is a non-slip penny matting for easy cleaning and was edged with a grey mesh binding. Like the headlining, the floor coverings are direct-stuck with adhesive to the helicopter's floor and lower sidewall. This design included cutouts for floor heaters on both sides of the helicopter.
THE CLIENT
This client was a New Zealand Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering organization that operates from multiple locations around the country. The company provides maintenance for all manner of aircraft including private jets, small airlines, air freighters, light aircraft, and helicopters.
