Robinson R22 Interior Refresh
The Robinson R22, known for its lightweight, versatility, and reliability, is a favorite among small helicopter operators. For this project, Generation Global provided a complete interior refresh for a client’s R22, enhancing both aesthetics and comfort. The interior was designed with a sharp, stylish contrast of sophisticated tan seating against more subdued gray and black elements, making for a clean, elegant look.

Seats: The seats were designed in the Generation II style and covered in Saddle Brown leather (ADI-4111). Each insert featured Diamond quilting (SA001), which added a touch of class and sophistication. The double stitching on all outer seams, as well as the quilting, was done in a thread that perfectly matched the leather color.

Control Boots: The control boots were crafted from black leather (ADI-1091), matching the design of the other leather elements in the interior. Additionally, leather pockets were mounted beneath each seat to enhance the functionality and aesthetic.

Under-Seat Insulation Kit: The client opted to purchase the R22 under-seat insulation kit, which was fitted in the storage area beneath the seats to provide additional soundproofing and comfort.

Floorcoverings: The Genflor Zimmer carpet (WN-120) was used for the floor, with durable perspex heel mats provided. These mats can be personalized with decals and were designed for easy attachment to the floor.

Headlining & Rear Bulkhead: The headlining and rear bulkhead panels were covered in a muted Grey Geneva fabric (HL-108), providing a soft, subtle contrast to the rest of the interior. These panels were made with laminated foam and fabric to ensure both comfort and durability.

Attention to Detail: The small triangle parts seen in the photos were cutouts for the roof window, highlighting the attention to detail that Generation Global pays to every aspect of the refurbishment.
This refresh transformed the interior of the Robinson R22, ensuring a more comfortable and visually appealing environment for both the operator and passengers. With custom parts sourced from Generation Global's website, the client received a top-notch upgrade that was easy to install and shipped free of charge.
