Robinson R44 Interior Kit Project
Project Overview
For this project, Generation Global supplied a full interior kit for a Robinson R44 Helicopter to a client in Australia. The kit included new seat covers, cushions, floor coverings, headlining assembly, and rear bulkhead upholstery. The interior was certificated through a CASA EO approval (ESE-R44-25-002). All these parts are available on Generation Global’s online shop.
Interior Features and Design
The seats are designed in the ‘Generation II’ style and are made from Charcoal Grey (ADI-1121) aviation leather, with matching stitching. The design is sleek and minimalist, with a flat center insert panel, without contrasting colors, perforations, or quilting, ensuring a clean, uniform look.
The headlining and bulkhead panels are upholstered in a complementary grey tone. The headlining fabric chosen is Geneva Grey (HL-108), with design cut-outs to accommodate hand-holds and air-conditioning.
The floor coverings are made from a dark grey (Zimmer WN-120) nylon cut-pile carpet, with custom cut-outs for floor heaters on both the left and right-hand sides to ensure functionality alongside aesthetics.
Client Overview
The client is a helicopter charter and training company based in Caboolture, near Brisbane, Australia. They predominantly service the tourism industry in the sub-tropical Brisbane and Sunshine Coast region. In addition to charter services, the company provides maintenance for various helicopters, particularly those with five seats or less.
