Project Overview: Beech 1900D Passenger Seating & Carpet Set
Client:
The client sought to refurbish their Beech 1900D aircraft in preparation for a lease contract. The project involved the replacement and installation of passenger seating and carpet sets for both the cockpit and cabin.
Project Scope:
Generation Global worked closely with the client to provide 19 passenger seat covers and cushions, as well as carpet pieces for both the cockpit and cabin. The aircraft seats followed the PS-140 design, with all components ready for direct fitting to the seat frames.

Cushion Material:
The cushions were made using Genlite foam, a durable and lightweight material, and covered with a fire-blocking layer to ensure safety. -
Velcro Attachments:
To make the fitting and removal process as efficient as possible, the seat covers and cushions featured Velcro attachments. -
Leather Dress Covers:
The seat dress covers were manufactured from Charcoal Grey leather (ADI-1121), offering a sleek and professional look. The design featured arched curved insets on the backrest, providing an elegant touch. -
Seat Backrest & Pocket:
The seat backrest cover incorporated a pocket on the rear of the seat for convenience, ensuring both comfort and practicality for passengers.

The carpet set was crafted from Azure Blue nylon carpet, chosen for its durability and aesthetic appeal. -
Precision Cutting:
The carpet pieces were cut using a CNC laser cutter, providing precision accuracy for each section. This method ensured that the final fit would be exact. -
Edge Finishing:
The edges of the carpet were overlocked using blue overlocking serging (249) to provide a clean and durable finish. -
Client Verification:
Detailed drawings of the carpet designs were sent to the client for verification. Once the client confirmed the design and dimensions, the carpet sections were cut, with the CNC cutter ensuring precision and the overlocking providing a professional edge.
