Cessna A152 Aerobat Interior Refurbishment – Aerobat Checker Seat Styling
Project Overview
This project involved a full interior refurbishment of a Cessna A152 Aerobat, styled with the iconic Aerobat checker seat design. In addition to the striking new seating, the refurbishment included custom-fitted carpets, door armrests, pull handles, and a glareshield eyebrow cover. All interior parts used in this project are available from the Generation Global website.

The standout feature of this refurbishment is the Aerobat checker seat styling—a bold, colorful seat design inspired by the aircraft’s original livery. The main seat color is Royal Blue leather (ADI-2031), while the checker insert panels are made from vibrant Red leather (ADI-3011).
To enhance the design, the seat covers feature three layers of red piping—one along the outer edges and two surrounding the checker pattern—creating a clean, striking contrast. Alongside the new dress covers, new seat cushions were installed, and the seat frames were stripped back and repainted black for a fresh finish.
The floor coverings were manufactured using Blue Shadow carpet, carefully shaped to fit the aircraft’s footwells. To protect against wear, the carpet in high-traffic areas features plastic floor protection domed onto the surface, ensuring both durability and style.
The glare-shield eyebrow cover was recovered in black UV-resistant vinyl, adding functionality and UV protection. Complementing the seat styling, the door pull handles and armrests were both wrapped in matching Royal Blue leather (ADI-2031) for a uniform, aviation-inspired look.

With its distinctive red and blue checker-pattern leather seats, refreshed carpets, and professionally wrapped interior trim pieces, this Cessna A152 Aerobat now boasts a cabin that reflects both its performance and personality. The result is a bold, vibrant interior designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind.
